How to Reach the Editorial Team

Got a correction, a dial-test failure, a question, a press request, or a privacy inquiry? You’re in the right place. This page sets out the right channel for each kind of message and the right places to go for medical emergencies, complaints about a specific physician, NPDB credentialing, and FCRA-permissible-purpose use cases โ€” none of which we can handle.

๐Ÿ†˜ Medical emergency? Use these resources first โ€” not us

state-medical-board.org/ is editorial only. We do not respond, dispatch, or treat. For an active emergency, contact the right authority directly:

  • 911 โ€” any active medical emergency or threat to life
  • Poison Control โ€” 1-800-222-1222 (24/7)
  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline โ€” call or text 988
  • National Domestic Violence Hotline โ€” 1-800-799-7233
  • RAINN National Sexual Assault Hotline โ€” 1-800-656-4673
  • Hospital Patient Safety Officer / Risk Manager โ€” for incidents in a hospital setting
  • FDA MedWatch โ€” fda.gov/safety/medwatch for adverse drug or device events
Read this if you’re using our site for an FCRA-prohibited purpose or hospital credentialing

state-medical-board.org/ is not a consumer reporting agency and is not the National Practitioner Data Bank. You may not use information from this site for employment, tenant screening, credit, insurance, or educational decisions (use a licensed FCRA-compliant CRA), or as a substitute for an NPDB query in hospital credentialing or medical-staff privileging (query NPDB directly at npdb.hrsa.gov). Misuse exposes you to civil liability under federal law.

How We Operate

state-medical-board.org/ is a digital-only publication. We don't have a physical office open to the public, do not accept walk-in visitors, and do not publish a postal address for general correspondence. Email is the way to reach us. We do not monitor email 24/7 โ€” for emergencies, use the resources at the top of this page.

What We Won’t Engage With

  • Abusive, threatening, or harassing messages โ€” these are not acted on and may be reported to authorities
  • “Disciplinary record removal” demands tied to payment โ€” we do not host disciplinary records, and pay-to-remove operations are predatory
  • Bulk SEO outreach, link-insertion requests, “guest post” pitches not relevant to our editorial focus
  • Requests to remove factual statements about a state board, federal agency, or commercial vendor that are accurate and properly sourced
  • Specific patient-care complaints โ€” those go to the state board, not to us
  • FCRA-permissible-purpose background-check requests โ€” those go to a licensed CRA
  • Hospital credentialing queries โ€” those go to NPDB
  • Requests to provide medical advice, second opinions, or treatment recommendations
  • Generic marketing emails, sales pitches, and unsolicited proposals not specific to our work
